Guide
Your first Solana payment
Sending SOL on mainnet is simpler than it looks: install a wallet, fund it, connect to a site, and approve one transfer. This guide walks through that flow, then lets you practice with a 0.001 SOL roll on Garden Dice — a low-stakes first transaction you can verify on Solscan.
Before your first payment
You need a Solana wallet with a small SOL balance on mainnet (not devnet). If you are starting from zero:
- Install Phantom — browser extension or mobile app. See the Phantom setup guide.
- Fund your wallet — buy SOL inside Phantom or transfer from an exchange. Even 0.05 SOL is enough for many practice payments.
- Confirm mainnet — Phantom should show Mainnet Beta, not Devnet, in network settings.

Step 1 — Try the free demo
Click Free demo roll above. No wallet, no SOL, no risk. You will see a commit hash before the roll and a verifiable result after — the same fairness model as paid rolls.
Step 2 — Connect your wallet
In the pay panel, open the Wallet tab and click Connect wallet. Phantom prompts you to approve the connection. Only connect on sites you trust; Garden Dice never asks for your seed phrase.
On mobile without an extension, switch to the Solana Pay tab and scan the QR with your wallet app. Connect Phantom guide has screenshots for desktop.
Step 3 — Approve your first transfer
Pick 0.001 SOL for your first real payment. Phantom shows the recipient address and amount — read both carefully, then approve. Network fees are usually a fraction of a cent on top of the payment.
After confirmation, Garden Dice detects the payment and reveals your official roll. The payment goes to a public treasury address listed on every page.
Step 4 — Verify on Solscan
Copy the transaction link from the result panel or your wallet history. Open it on Solscan and confirm:
- The status is Success
- The amount matches what you approved (e.g. 0.001 SOL)
- The recipient is the Garden Dice treasury
